How many words can you make from the word February when you've had a cup of coffee?
Actually the Muse Letter theme this month is The Winged Hearts of
February. It lends itself to some good graphics.. as you see. and a few
writing prompts below. The only winged heart I created is up there in
the left corner. Happy Heart Happy Month...
Ya know? a good relationship to your creativity is one of the best
relationships you can have.. take care of it.. pamper it.. make your
creativity a valentine, write it a poem, put on a love song and dance
for your creativity, .

POET WANTED by MUSE
Greetings Mortals,
Jill is channeling me, I'm a Muse. I have indigestion. I'm trying to
get through to a poet named Shirley but she keeps watching reality
TV... Survivor in particular but then she leaves the damn TV on and
Muses cannot compete with TV reception. We don't have the same level of
sponsorship. Shirley is also cleaning the knobs (on her stovetop),
playing computer Spider (a solitaire game), eating whole packages of
Oreos (double creme) and basically ignoring my transmissions of
inspiration. I have great poetic starts about shoe laces,
hypersensitivity to yellow, hidden portals of semi-consciousness, spin
cycles, the like. I'd like to put this inspiration to use and write
these poems myself but legally we Muses cannot do that. We've signed an
agreement not to take advantage of our power to magetize magnificence.
We are just the middle muses, the catalysts, the messengers, the lost
icons of the soul's awakening tolerating outdated pictures of us
strumming harps and lyres. We play Fender electric guitars now with
glossy polished wood finishes. Yet we are ignored and sadly neglected.
What's a Muse to do? Since you're reading this-maybe you would like to
take advantage of my inspirational powers. Let your mind be a spin
cycle. Close your eyes and see hypersensitivity to yellow spinning with
a pair of shoes whose laces are dancing in the glory of the circular
orbit -longing for a static cling that will LAST for God's sake! - What
would it be like to wear those shoes once cleaned of their history and
baptized with hyper-yellow awareness? Where would they take you? How
would you be different?
Write a stream of consciousness about riding a winged heart. Write one
about being a winged heart. Write a letter to yourself from a winged
heart. Eat a chocolate heart.
OH WAIT!, Shirley is taking a shower.. sometimes that's the only time I can get through to her. Gotta go.

SEPTEMBER 21 and 22, 2006 SAN DIEGO (CHANGED FROM JUNE) Jill teams up
with UCLA's Dr. Robert Maurer (www.scienceofexcellence.com ) to present
a dynamic one and a half day workshop on Kaizen-Muse techniques to
break through creative blocks. This is the Muses latest state of the
"arts" ingenuity in what truly works to make creativity an effortless
life-long habit. You will establish new ENJOYABLE ways to to help
banish the fears, overwhelm, lack of focus, and perfectionism that
frustrate you in the creative process. Additionally, Dr. Maurer will be
doing a three hour workshop on Overcoming Self Sabotage (I'll be THERE
