Creativity Coaching: The Credit Report Dear Muses, I noticed there's an epidemic of mortals beating themselves up over not getting to work or not being good enough. Is this beneficial to the creative process. Signed, Dear Wondering, Here are some tools and thoughts from the Muses. THE CREDIT REPORT Paying attention to what we get done and the things we are glad we did, fills us with energy and fuel to do more. When we sit down and reflect on the many things we accomplish we are often surprised how much we have accomplished. This raises our self-esteem, confidence and motivates us to do more. Mortal Dilemma: Muse Solution: Brought to you by: What you do: In the evening, take a minute or five and just list what you've done during the day. Go beyond checking off what was on your to-do list . . . there's lots more you've done than just that. Notice the feeling you get when you give yourself credit simply by acknowledging what you've done during the day. If you want to perk up the child-like consciousness that is so instrumental in our creative out-put . . . give yourself stickers . . . they're not just for kids anymore.
